Can I? Can I? Can I?

Does anyone watch SBS? Anyone? So it's just me watching that almost-porn that they put on there most nights? Rightio then....

Believe it or not, I'm not actually here to bag the shit out of someone in this post - I'm going to say something positive for once :)

In short, if you're up for some *different* TV that is very entertaining with a LOT of that trivia type stuff about sex that you'll never, ever, ever, ever, EVER use again in your life, then maybe you should be watching SBS on Sunday nights from 8:30 to 9:30 (pm). There are 5 parts left in the televisual series of the book: Dr Tatiana's Sex Advice to All Creation (Dr Tatiana being better known as Olivia Judson).

I have to admit though that what really does it for me is that smile - man-o-man-o-man (*phew*). Her voice being the mix of upper-crust British with the strong American undertone threaded with what is most likely a very black and sarcastic sense of humour AND being the perfect age for me.........
(dreamer.... (*sigh*)

You've finally met your perfect woman! Fantastic - err, or not.

I really wanted to watch this, but the buggers at SBS scheduled it against Carnivale which is on the ABC at the same time, and I'm not giving that up for anything.

I have crap reception here for taping anything, that is, can't tune the TV to be able to record shows (it's all just a big fuzzy blur), which is really annoying, so I can't even tape the SBS show - I'll just have to wait for the repeat.

SBS often have some really cool documentary type programs on Friday nights, fascinating stuff, but I often miss those too, because the TV guides hardly ever mention SBS shows, and I don't often "study" the programming. Where else would you see an hour long program with men talking about their relationship with their penis?

Actually, it's not about blokes talking about their whangs. Far from it. I can tell you that I wouldn't be watching it if it was.

I make it a point to study the guides but not an actual guide. Have a look at www.yourtv.com.au and you can flag shows that you like or keywords or actors/actresses, subjects, etc. There is a daily email and you can look a week in advance and only look at certain stations.

I print out a personal guide once a week of the stuff worth seeing which I tape and I watch pretty much nothing else. It saves a LOT of time.

Mmmmm - Dr Olivia Judson.... Yum.... :)
